Daniel rows his own boat
Drenched in ocean spray
The women try to lend a hand
But he motions them away
I row my own, he proudly says
I alone stroke a special way
Like De Gama or Vazquez
I keep the others at bay
I row and row and row and row
Slick with foamy white
And there is but one thing that I know
I, Daniel Monroe
Will row my boat tonight
